Occupational Therapy Services Team

North Coast Occupational Therapy Service based in Byron Bay, also services Lismore, Ballina, and Lennox Head. Our extensive network of qualified OT professionals also include rehabilitation specialists, psychologists, exercise physiologists, counsellors, physiotherapists and an ergonomist in the Northern Rivers region.

We have the skills and experience to recognise when other health specialists can assist with a clients progress and recovery and refer clients to other members within the team when necessary.

Louise Davis is the director of North Coast Occupational Therapy Service, an independent provider of occupational therapy services specialising in aged care, rehabilitation and healthly lifestyles.

In the past she has worked for local hospitals and community health services in Lismore, Ballina and Byron Bay on the North Coast of NSW. Louise is a rehabilitation specialist, working with clients across the areas of aged care, and rehabilitation in the community. She focusses on healthy lifestyle practises, having run groups in stress management and instigating walking for pleasure.

Independently working within larger organisations, Louise facilitates training, assisting organisations create behaviour change in their staff. Implementing strategies in ergonomics, and back care, with far reaching ramifications for long term staff health and productivity.

Louise was instrumental in setting up the accredited Rehabilitation Service: North Coast Rehabilitation Service and managed the service for 15 years assisting injured workers reenter workforce and providing equipment and  modifications to the workplace environment, and enabling clients to maintain an independent quality of life at home.

More recently Louise has headed up North Coast Occupational Therapy (OT) Services in Byron Bay and has been focussing on modifications in the workplace and the home environment, consulting with insurers and rehabilitation providers, providing workplace assessments and training, and working in the aged care sector providing advice and assitance in a multitude of services, including assisting injured workers to adapt to their particular injury.

After many years experience in the occupational therapy industry, Louise now also specialises in Life Coaching, helping her clients establish positive lifestyles, assisting her clients in defining their goals, setting realistic milestones – whilst providing motivation and encouragement, and monitoring progress throughout.

Louise has conducted ACAT Assessments, providing aged care assessment and assessment for those with disabilities provision. We can also provide professional independent assessments in the following areas:

  • Workers comp assessments
  • Disability assessments
  • Homefront Accident & Falls Prevention Assessments.
