Servicing Lismore, Ballina and Lennox Head, North Coast (OT) Occupational Therapy Service are an independent OT & Rehabilitation agency located in Byron Bay sspecialising in rehabilitation working with clients in the community in aged care and other rehabilitation.

Training and Assessment

Working within larger organisations, NCOTS facilitates training courses, assisting organisations create behaviour change in their staff. Implementing strategies in ergonomics, and back care, for long term staff health and productivity.

Rehabilitation

Our Director, Louise Davis, was instrumental in setting up the accredited Rehabilitation Service: North Coast Rehabilitation Service and managed the service for 15 years assisting injured workers reenter workforce, providing equipment and modifications that enable our clients to continue to lead a productive work life or maintain an independent quality of life at home.

More recently Louise has been focussing on consulting with insurers and rehabilitation providers, providing workplace assessments and training, and working in the aged care sector providing advice and assitance in a multitude of services, including assisting injured workers to adapt to their particular injury.

Injured workers reentering the workforce

We assist injured workers reentering workforce  as well as provide equipment and modifications to enable injured workers to reestablish their employment and to live at home independently. These include:

• modifications to the workplace environment,
• modifications to the home environment,
• consulting with insurers and rehabilitation providers,
• assisting injured workers to adapt to their  injury.

Veterans Rehabilitation

NCOTS is a registered OT provider for the Department of Veteran Affairs working in the provision of home assessments, recommending equipment and home modifications for Veterans as well as Homefront Accident & Falls Prevention Assessments.

Life Coaching

Life coaching helps establish positive lifestyles, assisting our clients in defining their goals, setting realistic milestones – while providing motivation and encouragement, and monitoring progress throughout.

Independent Assessments

Director, Louise Davis, has conducted ACAT Assessments, providing aged care assessment and assessment for those with disabilities. She is also qualified to provide professional independent assessments in the following areas:
